Webinar Overview:

Service line development has been a hot topic among health care executives for several years. The initiative revolves around the idea of focusing resources around specific consumer groups to maximize strategic position. The service line development strategy was taken form the consumer products industry. In doing so, one lesson is clear - transitioning this strategy to health care is “easier said than done.” Providers have wrestled with multiple service line structures only to find that one size does not fit all when it comes to implementing a service line orientation in a hospital environment.

This Webinar will explore the most common models of service line development to include service line marketing, service line leadership, and service line management. Understanding these models, and variations of each, is important in selecting the model that best meets the needs and capabilities of each organization. More importantly, the session will outline what models are best considered in light of strategic intent, organizational culture, management philosophies and market dynamics.

In addition to understanding multiple service line models, the session will bring forth an example of how one organization “evolved” from one service line to the next more aggressive model.

  • Strategy Officers
  • Service Line Leadership
